About Alex
Alex Holtmeier is the Principal of Union Strategic Advisors, a role he assumed in April 2026. Based in the Greater Cincinnati area, Alex brings over 15 years of rigorous financial expertise to the firm, having served as a Financial Advisor with Raymond James & Associates since 2010.
Throughout his career, Alex has established himself as a specialist in the design, implementation, and management of corporate-sponsored retirement plans. He serves as a primary resource for small and mid-size businesses in the region, helping owners navigate fiduciary complexities and optimize benefits for their workforce.
In addition to his corporate work, Alex serves as a lead Strategist for the firm’s private wealth management business. His approach integrates three critical pillars of personal finance:
- Portfolio Allocation & Design: Utilizing sophisticated modeling to create risk-adjusted investment strategies that align with long-term objectives.
- Longevity Planning: Developing comprehensive roadmaps to ensure financial independence and sustainable income throughout retirement.
- Estate & Legacy Planning: Providing essential guidance on the transfer of wealth, ensuring that clients’ assets are protected and distributed according to their wishes while minimizing tax implications for future generations.
Alex holds the AIF® (Accredited Investment Fiduciary) and CRPS℠ (Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist) designations, underscoring his commitment to a high fiduciary standard.
A lifelong resident of the local suburbs, Alex is deeply rooted in the Cincinnati community. While he is an expert at managing market volatility and complex financial risks, he finds his most challenging “mergers and acquisitions” happen at home; he and his wife, Kendall, are currently navigating the beautiful chaos of raising three boys, including twins—a feat that makes high-stakes financial negotiation look like a quiet afternoon at the library.
